School's almost back in session, and what's not to love about a new beauty trick to kick off the new academic year looking oh-so-fabulous? Here are my back-to-school beauty tips to try:
Prep: Put your skin in A+ shape with a skin-nourishing primer. All you need is a pea-sized amount applied to your face before foundation application and your makeup will look fresher and last longer. I suggest my new NP SET Primers like the Brightening and Calming Pre-Foundation Primers. The Brightening Primer helps up your glow count while the Calming Primer is amazing at reducing redness and evening out skin tone.
Mascara: I like to think of mascara as a cup of coffee for the complexion – you can’t start your day without it! If you like to experiment, try the Twiggie-look (also a fall runway fave) by applying extra coats to the bottom lash line. It’s dramatic, yet sweet and cool.
Eyes: For quick and easy smokey eyes, all you need is a long-lasting black pencil and a little smudge action. Rim the upper and lower lash lines with a pencil and then smudge with a brush (or Q-tip) and go.
Cheeks: You can't go wrong with a hint of pink or peach swept across your cheeks. To get a natural flush, simply sweep the color along the apple of the cheeks with a blush brush and smile like you mean it for the best results.
Lips: Nothing says glamour quite like a ruby red lip. It's not only a classic shade but a real face-changer and is right on trend for fall. Refresh with a red gloss for quick touch-ups between classes.
