Tell us a little about yourself. Elizabeth: My sister and I have always been different while growing up, we didn't fit in, so we were always together and still are. I started loving fashion ever since I was very young. I always loved designing clothes and from then on my love for fashion grew more and more. Esmeralda: I enjoy going to concerts, hanging around with my family and friends, and I love sewing. Fashion became my ultimate inspiration during high school.
How did you discover FIDM and why did you choose the collge? Esmeralda: My sister told me about FIDM when she came across it while looking for colleges to attend. Fashion always fascinated me and I love looking at people who dress differently and rebellious. When I officially explored FIDM, I knew it was the college I needed to be at.
How did you pick your major? Elizabeth: I easily picked Fashion Design School because it has always been a dream of mine to design clothes. Esmeralda: I read about every major carefully and Apparel Industry Management suited me perfectly.
What are you most excited to learn at FIDM? Elizabeth: I'm excited to go FIDM and meet great people who have the same passion as I do and I'm mostly excited to learn how to design clothes. Esmeralda: I'm most excited to learn how to begin the process of starting my clothing line and knowing how to have a sucessful business.
What do you expect to gain at FIDM? Elizabeth: What I expect to gain from FIDM is the ability to advance in the industry and pursue my dreams. Esmeralda: I expect to gain great knowledge of keeping my business together and successful. I also want to be prepared for any problem that may come my way.
What are your goals/dreams for the future? Elizabeth: My goals and dreams are to be doing what I love most and to be a very successful fashion designer. Esmeralda: To be financially successful, take care of my family, have my business go international, and possibly have celebrities wear my line.
How do you think it will be going to school with your twin? Elizabeth: I think going to school with my twin sister would be great because we can help each other and support each other when we need it. Esmeralda: I think this experience will be different and fun! I'm very excited to experience this with my sister. We always have been doing everything together and we plan to do so in the future.
