Do you like this story?

FDIM Age: Wonderfully 17

Hometown: San Diego

FIDM Start Date: July 2010

Major: Merchandise Product Development

Campus: FIDM Orange County

Tell us a little about yourself: I am a very enthusiastic person eager to learn anything I can to better my future and the future of my family! I am caring and fun to be around. At FIDM I was told that I am very well spoken and mature for my age. I have a lot of determination and there is nothing that could stop me from my dreams of succeeding in the fashion industry!

What is one of your proudest accomplishments? My proudest moment is when I got accepted to attend FIDM

Favorite designer: Juicy Couture's Pamela Skaist-Levy and Gela Nash-Taylor, because their designs are so out of the box and edgy!

Trend/item you're loving right now: Bright tops with single colored pants/shorts with nice pumps to finish it off, very urban looking!

Who is your style icon and why? i actually don't have a specific icon, but whoever looks the best in my magazines at the time is my inspiration!

What is the most beloved item in your wardrobe? At the moment it's my warm yet sharp jacket I just recently bought!

How did you know that FIDM was the right college for you? As soon as I began speaking with my counselor Roxy Deguzman, who gave me all the information I needed, I knew I could do it. The day I went to my consultation with my parents my mom kept nodding her head because she knew I could do it! That's when it became real for me.

How did you choose your major? I chose my major after discussing where my strengths and weaknesses were.

What do you expect to gain from attending FIDM? I expect to gain all the knowledge I need to know in order to succeed in the fashion industry.

What is your ultimate career goal after graduating from FIDM? To be managing my own business and have clothes that I helped put together in my favorite stores like Urban Outfitters!

What advice would you give to students looking to be accepted into FIDM? I would say that determination and confidence is key. Don't let anyone tell you that you can't do it! You can! FIDM has all the resources you need to succeed!
