Customization: The Latest Thing in Fashion

Do you like this story?

In our modern age of mass production, it can be a little difficult to stand out from the crowd. People are looking for something different to be unique. Customization is key.

Nobody understands this better than the fashion industry. Big names like Reebok and Nike are capitalizing on the trend.

And smaller companies are making a business out of it as well. Check out indidenim.com where you can design your own jeans.

But the most creative use of customization I've seen lately is by Scribble Couture. They have made a business out of proud mommy behavior. You can upload a child's drawing to their website and have it embroidered on a bag.

But, who's to say you can't upload a cute sketch from your boyfriend or handwritten note from a BFF? Hmmm...could be a good gift idea!

Hi Gigi, thanks for this. Have a look at www.milkorsugar.com, which has an excellent overview of all customizable fashion. For example check their reviews of custom dresses, custom shoes or custom bags. That includes reviews of all sites mentioned in this post.

Thanks so much for posting these, they are fantastic! So bummed I missed what looks like a truly unique evening.
