Big, Clunky Shoes Seen On Every Single Runway At Fashion Week

Lambboot
According to e-newsletter She She Me, big platform shoes with peep-toes, lace-up menswear-inspired high heels, and all sorts of sky-hi and clunky shoes dominated the recent runway shows.

The Victorian-inspiried "shooties," above, are L.A.M.B. (by Gwen Stefani) "Rosebury" Boot and are available at $520 from Nordstrom.com.

The shoes below are by Max Studio are called Fury. They're a more-sensible $180. Furyblack
DKNY has hopped on the Platform Brogue bandwagon. I think these would go great with lots of different skirts:

They're marked down from $329 to $235! But between you and me, I bet I could find them cheaper!

The Open-Toe Boot is a big look this fall. Below is a pair by Sergio Rossi for a thousand bucks (well, OK, $999),

But depending on your budget, you might want to consider "cheating" with these similarly open-toed and patent (but much cheaper) Rivington Ankle Boots by designers Alice + Olivia from Payless.com for $48.

Places I like to shop for shoes are Designer Shoe Warehouse, both in the stores and online; Shoe Pavillion, which has more in the stores than online; Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse, which doesn't sell online; and even Loehmann's occasionally.

I look at the expensive stuff, magazines, and the web and then I browse the off-price boutiques.
