It's Thursday, and that's the day we showcase items from Etsy.com, a website where anyone can buy or sell handmade items.
This week Etsy is spotlighting handmade items for back-to-school, so we thought we'd do the same.
Below is the Fighting Robots Unisex American Apparel Tank Top by moresassvintage. It comes in several sizes, and it's only $24 for something that everyone else won't be wearing.
A bit more pricey, but made of 100% merino wool, are these Neo-Victorian Fingerless Gloves in Burnt Rose by Corpseknit. At $49 they're gorgeous, warm, and you won't find them in the punk section at Hot Topic!
If you're knit-savvy, perhaps you could knit up a few things and sell them on Etsy!
The shirt below is a one-of-a-kind Feel The Music tank made from an '80s t-shirt. No one else at school will have this shirt, and you're bound to get compliments. It's $23.
Here's a pretty pendant Whimsical Autumn Tree necklace handmade from a Scrabble tile. It's by BrandisDandis and it's only $6; buy two and get one pendant free. Cheap as Forever 21, but totally original!
To wear it, just get a strip of ribbon at the fabric store and tie a bow at the back of your neck.
This last item is a hoodie dress, called Hoodie Heart's Desire Dress. You can wear it alone, or it would look great over skinny jeans.
It's shown in red and white, but the seller, postpanache, will make it in a variety of colors and in any size you like -- just send your measurements. Not a bad bargain at $52!
