Favorite Designer: Norma Kamali - her fabrics, fit,
design and vibe are timeless. (Image: "Racks of Norma Kamali", via Richard Chapman)
Who is your Style Icon and why? Talitha Getty. Her
fashion spirit embodies boho chic in its purest form. Her unstudied way
of putting things together always looked modern and fresh.
What is your dream fashion purchase? For Fall 2007 it's
the perfect pair of Chloe, Dior or Dolce riding-inspired boots.
What is the most beloved item in your wardrobe? My bronze washed, ankle-zip skinny Doncaster jean from the Fall 2007 Collection.
You're spending an afternoon shopping in the city of your choice. What's the city and the itinerary? Definitely NYC. I'm starting with a double macchiato at Oren's Daily Roast at 58th and Madison. Then I'll spend the next four hours cruising ReMix, Fratelli Rosetti, Stuart Weitzman, Bergdorf Shoe departments only, Barneys, Michal Negrin Boutique, Norma Kamali, Zaras, French Sole, Saks shoe department. After quick bite of the freshest sashimi and green tea at ISE Japanese Restaurant on 56th Street, I'll head downtown for an afternoon jaunt through Jeffrey New York, DVF Shop, Sigerson Morrison and Belle shoe shops and all the great little boutiques downtown! I move quickly as I'm getting ideas and absorbing the trends.
If you could own the wardrobe of any film or t.v. character, whose would it be? Sarah Jessica Parker - I love her feminine and eclectic style.
The ultimate accessory is... nothing makes clothing hang and look better than a perfectly fitted bra, a seamless thong and, if needed, a body slimmer! On the outside it's a pair of great face-framing earrings with character and dimension.
