For our latest StyLe ScOoP InTeRvIeW, we caught up with Tango Diva founder Teresa Rodriguez Williamson. We're enamored with her web site/online community (it's the go-to spot for gals who love to travel solo in style) andMarieclaire_nov_06 her blog, which recently featured her adventures in Milan, including a fashion Cinderella fantasy-come-true--a trip to a couture shoe boutique where she procured a pair of custom-made yellow satin heels. (If the thought of crafting a pair of couture heels captures your fancy, check out FIDM's Advanced Study Program in Footwear Design.)  You can also catch Teresa in the new Marie Claire where she's interviewed about "coutourism," a term she coined.--Kim

Who is your style icon and why? Sophia Lauren. She is sexy, timeless and bold. Any time I am feeling a bit intimidated by my wardrobe or by life, I’ll think, “What would Sophia do?”

What is the most beloved item in your wardrobe? My two Chanel handbags. One is a classic leather shoulder bag that fits my cell phone, wallet, and lipstick and the other is a vintage Chanel satin handbag with a small gold chain and plenty of room for all my social accessories.

You’re spending the afternoon shopping in your city of choice, what’s the itinerary? Milano! I roll out of my bed at the Four Seasons, put on my sexy Pumas and hit Via Montenapoleone and Via della Spiga for all my prêt-à-porter purchases from Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Giorgio Armani, Prada, and Versace. I enjoy lunch at an outside bistro, sipping prosecco and eating a plate of pasta. Then I rush off to Veronik’s in Brera, where I get a pair of shoes handmade from her endless collection of Coma silk satins and leather.

If you could own the wardrobe of any film character, whose would it be? Oh, that is tough! I adore Audrey Hepburn, but my body is not the same shape as hers, so items that looked divine on her frame are less flattering on mine. Rita Hayworth is shapelier and I love the way she can command a room with some of her decadent outfits.

The ultimate accessory is... Hermes scarves.
They can transform a basic black outfit into a work of art with one simple piece of fine silk. Every girl should own at least one gorgeous scarf.
